I had the pleasure of working with Jami for several years in Christian education and it was clearly evident that she had a heart for people. She had an amazing impact on our students and her heart for the gospel and loving spirit influenced many lives. As I got to know Phil better, I knew from day one that his heart was for missions. It was all that he talked about and his face would light up as he spoke of their church ministry in Stockbridge. You could also tell that Jami and Phil made an excellent team as God took his passion for missions and coupled that with her focus and structure to begin growing an amazing work in our area. When they first told us of their plans to move to Mexico we were selfishly disappointed because I did not want to lose one of the best teachers in our school. However, as they described their plans and shared their passion with all of us to spread the gospel in Mexico, there was no question that God was at work.
Now that several years have passed, we can see how God is using them to create a gospel centered community. We look forward to hearing their reports from the field of how families in their community are being influence by the gospel. It has also been a way for us to learn about the people of Mexico and the bondage they are under to a works based system. In their most recent newsletter, Phil and Jami shared ways in which the gospel is reaching the people in their area. It was very insightful and helpful to see how they are intentionally ministering for Christ.
Our school ministry and my family are blessed to be a small part of the work that Phil and Jami are doing in Mexico. We look forward to how God continues to use them!”
