A few weeks ago, I (Phil) came across this shrine to the “lady of the holy death,” and a prayer written to her (in the background). He took this photo of it.
I translated it and here’s what the prayer said:
“Oh lady holy death, with your infinite power make yourself present and bring peace and harmony to this home; break the discord and vanish all the envy, illuminating us with the golden reflexión that comes to us from your good, and generous being. Invite us to remember that we are all brothers, and that we must coexist with one another in a pleasant and cordial way. Thank you, Death!!!”
Evil has waged war agains the people of Mexico, and God has sent us here to fight for those who are being led to the slaughter. Charles Spurgeon said:
“If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.”
